International shoots become expensive when local decisions are split across suppliers. PHOCUS works as the production service partner for your agency, brand or production company, starting with the responsibilities already covered by your team. You may arrive with a director, producer and approved treatment, or need local support from the first feasibility check. We define the handover clearly: who owns the client relationship, who approves creative changes, what PHOCUS manages locally and what travels with you. That gives visiting and remote teams one accountable point of contact in Spain. English-language production, consolidated updates and a practical approval schedule are built into the plan. The objective is simple: preserve the creative intent while removing avoidable uncertainty from the Barcelona part of the production.
Our production services can cover location research and scouting, permits, casting and talent coordination, local crew, camera and lighting equipment, studios, art department, wardrobe, hair and makeup, transport, accommodation, catering, insurance requirements and on-set production. We also plan the handover into editing, retouching, colour, sound, VFX or delivery when those services are in scope. The production is shaped around the actual campaign outputs: hero film, campaign photography, social cutdowns, vertical assets, paid media, digital placements and retail or print materials. Barcelona offers coast, modern architecture, dense urban streets, industrial areas, studios and strong local crews within a compact production radius. We still test every location against the shot list, light, access, sound, unit size, parking and permit needs. A beautiful reference is useful; a location that works operationally is what protects the shoot day.

Send the treatment, tentative dates, shot list, expected deliverables and the people travelling. We turn that into a feasibility conversation and an estimate with assumptions made visible. The same concept can produce very different budgets depending on cast usage, locations, company moves, equipment, overtime, weather cover, art requirements and the number of formats expected from the shoot. We identify those variables early so you can compare like with like. Pre-production then follows a shared schedule for scouting, casting, crew, technical checks, permits and approvals. During the shoot, your producer receives one coordinated view of local decisions and costs. If the agency or client reviews remotely, we agree the review points and practical communication window before production. After wrap, the handover follows the agreed asset list, naming, formats, colour workflow and delivery dates. No production company can remove every change, but a clear scope makes the consequences of a change visible before it becomes a surprise on the invoice.
Barcelona is a strong base for commercial photo and video production, especially when a brief needs Mediterranean light, coastline, contemporary architecture, urban texture, studios and experienced crews in close reach. The city is not the right answer for every frame, so we treat the location as a production decision rather than a keyword. PHOCUS can also coordinate campaigns in Madrid, Valencia, Alicante, Málaga and Andalucía, northern Spain including Cantabria and Asturias, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. For mountain and snow production, we can scope the Spanish Pyrenees and Andorra. Tell us what the location must communicate, the season, the cast and crew size, whether the unit travels, and which assets must be captured together. We can then recommend a practical route and explain the dependencies. For a useful first estimate, include the treatment or visual references, preferred dates, number of shoot days, photography and film requirements, media and territory, talent needs, post-production scope and budget range. If some of those details are still open, mark them as open; that is more useful than hiding assumptions.
