UK producers often come to Spain with a director, treatment, agency relationship and part of the crew already attached. PHOCUS defines the local handover before commitments are made: who travels, which equipment crosses the border, what is sourced in Spain, who owns each approval and which responsibilities remain with the UK production company. We consolidate locations, permits, casting, local crew, equipment, transport and on-set coordination into one production plan and one line of accountability. If agency or client stakeholders remain in the UK, the close time-zone overlap makes review practical, but decision owners and deadlines still need to be agreed. English-language production communication, consolidated updates and a visible assumptions list help your team keep control without managing every Spanish supplier directly.
Our production services can include initial feasibility, budgeting, location research and scouting, permits, casting and talent coordination, local crew, camera and lighting equipment, studios, art department, styling, hair and makeup, travel, accommodation, transport, catering, insurance requirements and on-set management. We can coordinate stills and motion together or continue through editing, retouching, colour, sound, VFX and final delivery when required. The scope starts from the complete campaign output: hero film, campaign photography, cutdowns, vertical formats, paid media, social, digital placements, outdoor, point of sale and retail print. We identify usage, talent terms, delivery standards and post-production responsibilities early. When crew or equipment travels from the UK, the production plan should also allow time to confirm the applicable travel, freight and documentation requirements with the relevant specialist providers before bookings become non-refundable.

Send the treatment, proposed dates, shot list, cast and usage requirements, delivery formats and a list of the people and equipment expected to travel. We review the Spanish feasibility and identify the variables that shape the estimate: location availability, permits, company moves, local or travelling equipment, specialist crew, art builds, overtime, weather cover, talent terms and post-production. Pre-production then follows a shared schedule for scouts, casting, crew, technical checks and approvals. On set, PHOCUS coordinates local departments and reports changes together with their effect on timing and cost. Remote agency or client reviews are planned around the decisions that cannot wait. After wrap, the handover to UK editorial, post-production or agency teams follows the agreed file, colour, sound, master and adaptation requirements.
We produce in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Málaga and Andalucía, northern Spain including Cantabria and Asturias, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. For mountain and snow campaigns, we can also coordinate the Spanish Pyrenees and Andorra. Madrid provides studios, equipment and central travel connections. Barcelona combines a major production base with Mediterranean architecture and coast. Valencia and Alicante offer beaches, contemporary environments and compact access to varied landscapes. Andalucía brings distinctive cities, coast and dry terrain, while northern Spain offers greener Atlantic settings. Island shoots may provide the right visual answer but need additional freight, travel and weather planning. Share the reference, season, unit size, number of locations and shoot days; we will compare the creative opportunity with the practical production route before recommending a base.
